More than half this year has past and I thought it would be a good idea to evaluate the first seven months of 2016, in reference to this post that I published in January. Have I done and accomplished the things I said I would?
Out of the four things I wrote that I "knew" would happen this year, only two of them actually have/will happen. Unforeseen circumstances unfortunately stopped me from competing in the women's health run back in May and an unfortunate development cancelled the trip to the USA. Some things are just impossible to predict. I did, however, get the new tattoo as you can see above and I did compete in the 7,5 km (≈ 4.66 miles) obstacle course.
The bruising all over my body the following days were hard to capture on camera, but it looked like someone had beat me up.
The aspirations, goals and dreams I set up for myself have been a bit challenging, mainly because of lack of time and motivation. I've booked a trip to Amsterdam now in August, so I'll get to go to a new place where I've never been before. The apartment hunting has basically come to a stop. I haven't had the energy to go out and photograph. My sugar addiction comes and goes. I haven't made an effort to meet new people. I've always been an open-minded person, but one can always improve and I've been listening and taking in other peoples opinions. I haven't learned any new skills (yet ;P). I'm struggling with pushing myself at the gym or during any type of exercise, but I go to the gym at least 3-4 times a week which is a huge step for me! I talk to my family a lot. I try to challenge myself and grow as a person as much and often as I can.
I wonder what the remaining four and a half months will have in store for me :)
